I’m twenty something years old and am learning to live as a mother, wife, career girl and general good person. I moved back from my year living in France in 2012, and as clichéd as it may sound, the experience totally changed me for the better. It enabled me to truly become independent, and be comfortable on my own. This experience has shaped me so much that it influences a lot of my writing, so expect regular references. I am a Francophile at heart!
Having grown up with the most supportive parents a child could ask for I was told that I could do anything that I wanted to do, as long as I worked hard enough. This has meant that my choices seem to be endless and I’ve found it difficult to settle on a path that I know will enrich my life, and also the lives of others. I feel it is important to give back to the world as I am privileged enough to have good health, a strong education and the ability to communicate freely. The first step is sharing my experiences, and taking it from there.
I live my life from day-to-day, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My family and friends are most important to me. A beautiful Mulberry handbag is delicious arm candy, but it won’t hold you up and support you when your world seems to be falling apart. I love them, and wouldn’t exchange their presence and influence in my life for anything.
I have recently become a new mother and the experience has changed me for the better. Motherhood is not without its struggles and striking the right balance between being a good mother and achieving my career goals is going to challenge me more than anything has done before.
I hope you enjoy my blog. The musings of a somewhat confused mid twenties woman can be incredibly entertaining, and I welcome feedback. I’m currently working on my first novel inspired by my insane year living and learning abroad.
